What sort of help is available?

avoidance or elimination from your diet?

The majority of sources recommend complete avoidance of the suspected allergen, once you have discovered what it is. This is undoubtedly a good method of removing allergy symptoms, but it's not always practical - especially if your allergen happens to be pollen or traffic fumes, which are generally unavoidable provided you continue breathing!

Your doctor / GP?

You might choose to visit your doctor. The medical profession has found ways of suppressing allergic symptoms by using various drugs - steroids, inhalers, anti-histamines, painkillers etc., but these don't remove the cause of the allergy, and they often produce more problems in the form of side effects to the drugs, such as drowsiness, dry mouth or nausea.

Some people have found that homoeopathy has made them feel much more comfortable. There are various homoeopathic remedies and biochemic tissue salts available in health food shops and also your high street chemist. You may also choose to visit a homoeopath to be given your own individual remedy to take.

Many people just learn to live with their allergies

Many people have suffered from their allergies for so long that they have forgotten what it feels like to be without them! They even find it hard to imagine that there could be a way of overcoming their allergies for good.

health kinesiology?

Health Kinesiology (HK) was founded in 1978 by Dr. Jimmy Scott PhD and in the late 1980s he produced best-selling book all about allergies, where he describes his technique of tapping on various points on the body in the presence of the allergen so that the body will cease to react inappropriately.

You can read about this on www.cureyourownallergiesinminutes.com/ along with an alternative viewpoint on allergies.
